Make Zoom Feel Like Television
PyTorch's produced its first fully-digital Developer Day in 2020 during the Covid era. It was a remote event at a scale no one had a playbook for.
So we made it feel like a TV show.
Working alongside the PyTorch team to solve problems that hadn't been solved before, we built custom motion, virtual backgrounds, and production kits shipped to 30+ presenters worldwide. The result felt less like a conference call and more like something worth watching.
The following year, we moved the conversation from Zoom to a full LED XR stage. Yann LeCun and Soumith Chintala, two of the researchers who actually built modern AI, sat down together in front of a live audience.
In-Person Awards
When the conference came back in person, we got to make things you could hold. Every year we produce 15 custom awards, each one designed and engraved for a different category of contribution to the PyTorch community.
