Spark Success Stories
Meta Spark
Client Challenge
Celebrate the success of creators
Every month, thousands of creators and developers participate in Spark programs, ranging from hackathons and competitions to workshops and classes. Spark wanted to create a series of videos that dug into the experiences creators are having with their programs, and how they're helping people all over the world build their AR skills, grow their careers and chase their goals.
Creative Solution
Marry human stories with technical knowledge
Focusing on a documentary style approach allowed us to capture each creators unique inspirations, while also bringing a very human story to what can be a very technical job. We wanted to inspire more creators to see how Meta Spark curriculum and competitions can be pivotal in reshaping people's careers internationally. People just like them who have found professional success through Meta Spark community involvement.

Production Solution
International scale on a budget
In a mid-pandemic world, Authors needed to find a production solution that allowed us to capture quality, textural interviews across the world in a few months on a specific budget. Taking inspiration from food programs like No Reservations, we looked for local partners with experience fixing for travel and food content while interviewing, producing and directing from the United States.
Results
Community smash hit
Each piece of content had over 70,000 likes on Instagram with hundreds of positive, inspired comments. The Meta Spark community loved celebrating the successes of our featured creators, understanding their lives, different paths and pivots. It was ultimately a chance for some lesser known creators to have their chance in the spotlight and become mentors for the community going forward, inspiring more people to make AR a career.
